    Le texte évoque la nostalgie et les souvenirs de celui qui quitte la pampa, sa terre natale.
    Tango écrit pour la comédie musicale "El tango en Paris", de Enrique García Velloso, dans sa version de 1945, représentée au Teatro Alvear, et dans laquelle le chante Alberto Arenas, avec l’orchestre Canaro.
    Paroles françaises de Jacques Larue.
